 Rumi my brother , you lived in the 12th century , pre tech , in a culture and time vastly different from this “modern” age. Yet you could be posting from Samarkand right here in 2023. Your words resonate with the times we are living in . The same human issues span the centuries , just under diverse circumstances . Their essence is similar. Your words bring focus to my “rheumy” eyes and clarity to my often-confused heart. The doctor must be healed first before he administers to the sick. The counsellor is in need of counselling himself before laying his hands on others. Your timeless wisdom rekindles my faith in the universe. The universe is FORGIVING and so am I . The universe is ABUNDANT and so am I . Positive affirmations, but what resonates with me is the closing phrase …. “ The humility of And so am I” Peace begins within. What we seek , is also seeking us , you say. What we seek , we should be ready to offer ourselves. Rūmī, in full Jalāl al-Dīn Rūmī, also called by the honorific Mawlānā, (born c.
