 The clang of human energy ; hammer and chisel on stone , I capture their early morning silhouettes against the sky ; Sweat and toil as they help build our community , I bow and think - There but for the grace of God goes I. Written while on my early morning walk at Damac Hills Dubai. It is barely 6.30 am and i can hear the clanging sound of chisels on cement, as masons get to work on constructing new villas. I feel the injustice. Here i am enjoying me-time and exercise at the start of my day, while they commence a hard day's work. |
